What is F.A.P.E.?

Students with disabilities are entitled to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). Their IEPs are developed to ensure services, accommodations, and supports are in place so that they are not denied FAPE. It is important to connect with your child’s case manager at the beginning of the year and request a copy of your child’s schedule to ensure all appropriate services and accommodations are in place. Additionally, as needs arise during the year, keep an open line of communication or request an IEP meeting. An IEP meeting can be requested at any time. It is important to work together, as the parent is a critical member of the IEP team. If we can help in any way, please reach out. We would be happy to help!
