What should be documented?

Have you ever heard the phrase “if it isn’t in writing, it didn’t happen?” Whether you have heard this or not, it is something to remember as you advocate for your child. Information shared during a phone call or conversation should be followed up in writing. This information can be referred to and referenced in future conversations and meetings. The documentation should be factual (not emotional) and you should always keep a copy!
